Hi parents,

You may be wondering what age group to register your child on the playcricket.com.auwebsite. The Junior common rule reads ‘’Players in the 12, 14 and 16 competitionsshall be under those respective ages as at the 1st of September each year.’’
Therefore to be eligible to play Under 12’s your child had to be still 11 last Saturday. If he or she was already 12, they are to play in the Under 14 competition. (Same with 14’s and 16’s)

I have spoken with a number of parents inquiring about their child moving up from T20 blast to Under 12’s. Having two or in some cases three years in Blast cricket is certainly the stepping stone into hard ball cricket, so I would encourage this promotion.
